Twitter suspension in Nigeria

The Federal Government of Nigeria, Suspends Twitter operations in Nigeria.
This was communicated through the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed this Friday in Abuja, The Federal Capital Territory.
In his statement, he stated that the platform was used for activities that were capable of undermining Nigeria's Corporate existence.
Subsequently, the Governor of Oyo State Seyi Makinde has released a statement on Saturday Morning regarding the suspension. He stated that leaders should go beyond emotional reactions to issues and think about how their actions will affect the led, and also international ratings socially and economically
Twitter he said has become the platform for Nigerians to express their fundamental rights as it allows them express their opinions and give feedbacks to Government and it's agencies to enable them improve policies.
The Governor also described Twitter as a source of Communication for many Young people, as well as a source of livelihood for many, religious or political affiliations not withstanding.
He therefore appeals to the Federal Government to reverse the suspension, as that will be for the greater good of Nigerians.
